- Main article: Metronome
Evidently, Rhythm-kan Check was not the first choice for an introductory rhythm game. A game called Metronome (メトロノーム?, Metoronōmu)[1] seems to have been planned to be the test of rhythm, but was later cut for Rhythm-kan Check.
Ura Otoko uses the same graphics as Metronome, and as such contains all of its unused sprites. They are still considered separate games, regardless.
Rhythm Heaven
Practice Flicking consists of the following versions in Rhythm Heaven:

Regional Differences
During the introduction with The Bandleader prior to Practice Flicking, he claims that the game is controlled entirely with the Touch Screen[2]. This is incorrect, as the player must press START to pause the game, and the button (or button if playing in Lefty mode) is required in Rockers 2 and the Technical Courses of the Guitar Lessons and Battle of the Bands. In Rhythm Paradise, this dialogue was corrected[3].
Rhythm Heaven Fever
Rhythm Test consists of the following versions in Rhythm Heaven Fever:

Sprites of Marshal and Miss Ribbon looking dissapointedly at the player, presumably meant to be used for when the player missed.
Regional Differences
The signs used by Marshal, Cam, and Miss Ribbon read "Test in progress..." in Rhythm Heaven Fever, while in the English version of Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise, they say "Keep the beat!".
