Characters/Live
Live features many characters that originate from this side mode. This page catalogues all characters who made their appearance in this Rhythm Game.
Bands
Three bands are featured prominently in the Rhythm Game Live, being Drum Girls, Drum Boys, and Drum Samurai's Band, each containing a drummer you control.
- Main article: Yagura-chan
The Drum Girls (ドラムガールズ?, Doramu Gāruzu) are a group of girls who perform in Live in Rhythm Tengoku. They consist of Yagura-chan on the drums, a girl on the guitar and another girl on the bass. The songs they play are Night Walk, Space Dance, and Koi no Honey Sweet Angel. In their cameo in Remix 9 of Rhythm Heaven Fever, the Assistant becomes a member, replacing the girl on the bass.
The Drum Boys (ドラムボーイズ?, Doramu Bōizu) are a group of boys who perform in Live in Rhythm Tengoku. One plays the guitar, one the drums, and one the bass. The songs they play are Pachi Pachi Sanninshū, Tap Dance and WISH Kimi o Matenakute. blah
- Main article: Samurai Drummer
The Drum Samurai's Band are a group of eclectic characters who perform in Live in Rhythm Tengoku. They consist of the Samurai Drummer predictably on the drums, two monkeys on trumpets, and another three monkeys on tubas. The songs they play are Cosmo Dance, Bari Bari Sanninshū, and Super Tap.
Epilogue
Additionally, these three characters appear in the epilogue to this game.
Oba-chan (おばちゃん?, Old Lady) is the cleaning lady at the live house. She supports everyone who is trying their best. It seems that there are surprisingly many musicians who have remained in the industry because of the lady's unassuming words[1]. Her mop and bucket also make a cameo appearance in the Try Again epilogue to Remix 5 in Rhythm Heaven.
The Owner (オーナー?, Ōnā) of the live house is a shady looking guy, but he supports young musicians as "friends" behind the scenes[1].
The Producer (プロデューサー?, Purodeyūsā) is a talented producer at a production company. He is passionate about his own musical activities and training newcomers. He is very stoic, despite his outgoing appearance[1]. He also makes a cameo appearance in the Superb epilogue to Remix 5 in Rhythm Heaven.

Unused Content
An unused notification screen for Rhythm Shiryō-Shitsu exists, titled R-IQ (Nyūka) ((R-IQ (にゅうか)?, R-IQ (Arrival)) in the Sequence Test. Selecting it causes the game to show that a letter has arrived, with the background depicting a library. The player can choose "Yes" to read the letter immediately, or "No" to return to the previous menu.
Rhythm Heaven
The Reading Material in Rhythm Heaven does not have any known unused content.
Rhythm Heaven Fever
There are two blocks of text stored in the same file as the Reading Material in Rhythm Heaven Fever which aren't accessible in the Café. In French, Spanish and Korean, these names are properly translated, while UK English, German and Italian replace the names with dummy text showing which language the file is meant for (written in English).
森のでんせつ
森のでんせつ (Mori no Densetsu?, The Legend of the Forest) contains the text used in the Two-Player Endless Game Bossa Nova, and is stored between Rhythm Rockets and Concert Listings.

|---|---|
| Bossa and Nova are one of those wonderful, charming, witty, urbane couples that their neighbors adore. They live in a split- level cave in the trendy part of Big Field with Fruit Trees. Bossa's work takes him all over Big Field, and the animals love him. He is especially popular among elderly animals, who appreciate his old- world manners. Nova is a well-known local artist whose paintings adorn all the best nearby caves. On this particular day, Bossa is taking a day off to help Nova move the largest painting she has ever done. It's going to a cave near Big Hole with Mastodon Skeleton in It. An art collector has already paid Nova quite a few shiny stones and flint tools for it. Working together, the two of them move the large painting into the cave and hang it on the wall. Then they step back and admire Nova's work in its new home. "It definitely makes the cave come alive," says the art collector, "but I'm afraid it just won't do. It clashes with the other pieces. Unless... I can commission some more of your work to replace them?" Bossa and Nova grin. It may be time for Bossa to quit his job promoting conch- shell performances and become Nova's full-time agent... THE END |
Bossa and Nova lived in a house in a giant tree. Bossa got up early to tend to his garden. Bossa's vegetables were the best in all the land. Nova made Bossa's lunch every day before he set off. When Bossa had left, she did her chores and put some flowers in a vase. Bossa took a break by a big tree. He ate lunch and tried to decide what shapes the clouds made in the sky. He shared his food with some young bears that were drawn by the smell of Nova's delicious food. After lunch, Bossa took a nap in the afternoon sun. Nova went out shopping after lunch. Recently, her Monkey Watch had worn out so she went to get the monkeys changed. Then she bought a rainbow-coloured candle that Bossa wanted. Bossa visited the forest's old animals to make sure they were ok. He gave them his delicious veg and Nova's bread. Bossa's visits always made them happy. Nova returned from the shops and made dinner. She made Bossa's favourite food, pizza. Of course, she used Bossa's vegetables. Bossa finally called in to see the old owl who had a special box for him. He thanked her and went home. Nova set the table, dimmed the lights and finished the pizza. Bossa returned to this wonderful sight. Nova gave him a kiss. Bossa put the box on the table and took out a cake. He then took the special candle and placed it on the top. As they gazed into each other's eyes, Bossa said, Happy Birthday! |
