There is data showing that Power Calligraphy was once intended to have an arrange version. While there is no playable data for it, there is a string for its name, that being リズムお習字 2 (Rhythm o Shūji 2?). It also reuses the Game Select icon, description, and epilogue text from the long version, presumably as placeholders. The player's score and Rank on Rhythm o Shūji 2 is also stored in memory.

There is an unused gameplay history screen in Rhythm Tengoku which can be accessed through Sequence Test, which lists all the games and things in the Omaku Corner, the average score the player currently has (using a numbering system from 0 to 1000 which is hidden from the player in normal gameplay), and the amount of plays. リズムお習字 2 (Rhythm o Shūji 2?)'s save data can be found here as well.
There is an unused effect showing energy escaping the hand after the player performs a stroke. There is also an unused effect that causes the brush to produce ink particles that expand outwards, grow larger, and then concentrate back on the brush.
An unused version of the Practice theme used in The☆Bon Odori and Power Calligraphy (labeled "s_mario2_4"), sounds like the used version ("s_mario2"), but with a flute playing a simple melody that resembles the lyrics used in The☆Bon Odori[1]. There are also unused duplicates labeled "s_mario1" and "s_mario1_2", as well as the similarly named files "s_mario_melo1" and "s_mario_melo2", which is fittingly enough an excerpt of the Ground Theme from Super Mario Bros. The filename similarities may suggest it was intended to play alongside the theme itself[2].
In Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade), the sprites for the Mini Chōnin contain an unused set of numbers from 1 to 6.
Rhythm Heaven Fever
Power Calligraphy consists of the following versions in Rhythm Heaven Fever:

Regional Differences
The kanji 完 (Kan?, The End) was translated in the localized versions of Rhythm Heaven Fever.
In Rhythm World Wii, the character on the prologue and Mini Chōnin are given traditional Korean clothing. The face at the end has the る (Ru?) character replaced with a 3, resulting in つ3ニハ○○ムし. The sound effects for this sequence are modified to match.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix
Power Calligraphy consists of the following versions in Rhythm Heaven Megamix:

Unused Content
There are unused stroke patterns, namely requiring the player to perform the third stroke of the "力" character aside from the fourth that they do in the game, and the fourth stroke of the "心" character aside from the third and fifth that they do in the game.
There are unused subroutines for each character's pattern and the page being readied for them, but with a swing rhythm. While most of these were previously used in Remix 4 in Rhythm Tengoku, the "レ", "、", "寸" and face were never used in swing.
Regional Differences
The kanji 完 (Kan?, The End) was translated in the localized versions of Rhythm Heaven Fever, but aside from Rhythm Sesang: The Best+, this was reverted back to its original Japanese form in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
In Rhythm Sesang: The Best+, the same changes from Rhythm World Wii apply. Interestingly, the Official Game Trailer doesn't use the localized artwork for this game[3].
