A {{Nihongo|debug menu}} is a user interface implemented in a video game that allows the user to view and/or manipulate the program's internal state for the purpose of debugging. Debug menus are used during software development for ease of testing and are usually made inaccessible or otherwise hidden from the end user. They are often of interest to video game players as they can be used to cheat, access unused content, or change the game configuration beyond what is normally allowed.

''[[Rhythm Tengoku]]'', ''[[Rhythm Tengoku Taikenhan]]'' and ''[[Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade)]]'' contain a debug menu known as the {{Nihongo|Sequence Test|シーケンス テスト|Shīkensu Tesuto}}, which allows the user to access virtually every part of the game, including some sequences which go unused. Despite this, there are still unused sequences which are not accessable through Sequence Test. The sequences are generally in reverse order to how they are stored in the rom.
''[[Rhythm Tengoku]]'', ''[[Rhythm Tengoku Taikenban]]'' and ''[[Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade)]]'' contain a debug menu known as the {{Nihongo|Sequence Test|シーケンス テスト|Shīkensu Tesuto}}, which allows the user to access virtually every part of the game, including some sequences which go unused. Despite this, there are still unused sequences (such as [[Tanuki & Monkey]]) which are not accessable through this menu. The sequences are generally in reverse order to how they are stored in the ROM.

Completing a [[Rhythm Game]] or pausing and quitting returns to the Sequence Test menu rather than continuing to the epilogue or Game Select. Pressing Select to exit out of [[Drum Lesson]]s or [[Rhythm Toys|Toys]] leads to an unused version of the results screen, which crashes upon attempting to show a comment. This screen can be accessed directly from this menu as "R-IQ (Result 2)".

Various sequences related to ''[[Rhythm Tengoku]]''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s menus, title screen, etc. are prefixed with "R-IQ", an early name for the game. Some entries do not exist in ''[[Rhythm Tengoku: The Best+]]'', and as such do not have Japanese names. Like previous games, several unused sequences are listed in the menu, however some appear to be left from the developers copying and pasting rather than intentionally included.

A debug menu is a user interface implemented in a video game that allows the user to view and/or manipulate the program's internal state for the purpose of debugging. Debug menus are used during software development for ease of testing and are usually made inaccessible or otherwise hidden from the end user. They are often of interest to video game players as they can be used to cheat, access unused content, or change the game configuration beyond what is normally allowed.

Rhythm Tengoku, Rhythm Tengoku Taikenban and Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade) contain a debug menu known as the Sequence Test (シーケンス テスト?, Shīkensu Tesuto), which allows the user to access virtually every part of the game, including some sequences which go unused. Despite this, there are still unused sequences (such as Tanuki & Monkey) which are not accessable through this menu. The sequences are generally in reverse order to how they are stored in the ROM.

Completing a Rhythm Game or pausing and quitting returns to the Sequence Test menu rather than continuing to the epilogue or Game Select. Pressing Select to exit out of Drum Lessons or Toys leads to an unused version of the results screen, which crashes upon attempting to show a comment. This screen can be accessed directly from this menu as "R-IQ (Result 2)".

Various sequences related to Rhythm Tengoku's menus, title screen, etc. are prefixed with "R-IQ", an early name for the game. Oddly, "R-IQ (Counselor)" appears twice. Entries marked with the icon ConsoleArcade Icon.png before them are found only in the arcade version, with almost all other entries found in both versions. Oddly, not all of the 2P games are included in this list. One entry is also exclusive to Rhythm Tengoku Taikenban.

Rhythm Heaven Fever

A debug menu, whose scene is internally called "CSceneMenu", can be found in Rhythm Heaven Fever. In all versions, the menu is written in Japanese. Attempting to return to the menu (through a pause and quit or by finishing a game) softlocks the game. A few unused sequences can be found here as well. Interestingly, although the game is controlled entirely with the Wii Remote, this menu can also be navigated with a Nintendo GameCube Controller.

The entry for Seika Relay was removed in the international releases, changing the number for all entries following it. The entries for Basket, Chameleon and Kaeru Tobi lead to unused test sequences for the games in question. They only appear in Endless Remix in normal gameplay.

In Rhythm World Wii, while the menu is still written in Japanese, the font is different, and some entries have slightly different names (primarily removing kanji characters and spelling the words out in katakana instead). 1人用 (1-Ri-Yo?, One Player) and 2人用 (2-Ri-Yo?, Two Player) are also consistently spelled "1P" and "2P" instead.

To the right of the menu is a field for <Operation Explanation, Comment> (<操作説明、コメント>?, <Sōsa Setsumei, Komento>), which is only used by the Game Menu and Error Screen entries.

The first entry, Game Menu, has the following debug features:

Rhythm Heaven Megamix

Epilogue 3DS Micro-Row 2 OK.png

Text for Rhythm Heaven Megamix's debug menu can be found in the "message\pajama.zlib\arc\debug_menu.msbt" file in the game's ROM file system. In Rhythm Tengoku: The Best+, the entries are written in Japanese, while in other versions, they are replaced with the internal name for the entry. It is unknown if the menu still exists in a usable capacity, or if only the text remains.

In the list below, the internal entry name is shown first, followed by which sequence it pertains to, then the Japanese name. Some entries do not exist in Rhythm Tengoku: The Best+, and as such do not have Japanese names. Like previous games, several unused sequences are listed in the menu, however some appear to be left from the developers copying and pasting rather than intentionally included.
