Early Builds
Night Walk was originally named Four Beat Keep (フォービートキープ?, Fō Bīto Kīpu) in development to describe the gameplay, as the player keeps four beats at a time during the game[1]. It was also originally an Endless Game, which would keep going until the player fell off. It was later decided to include it as a regular Rhythm Game instead, with the game being given an ending[2].
Unused Content
Various sprites leftover from the Play-Yan media player for Game Boy Advance can be found, including the titular character standing, being defeated, crawling, a pink crab, and a yellow swan. In Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade), there are also leftover sprites for a word balloon with a music note in it.
Rhythm Heaven Fever
Night Walk consists of the following versions in Rhythm Heaven Fever:

The "NG"/"Miss" sprite is replaced with the word "Raté!" in the French, German, Italian and Spanish versions. While this word is used for missing in the French version (as noted below), the sprite for it is located elsewhere in the sheet due to needing more space, with the original spot keeping a smaller version of "Raté!" even in the other three languages.
This game has unused sound effects leftover from Rhythm Tengoku's Night Walk, these being "SE_AGB_NIGHT_WALK_FLOOR" for when the floor blocks get destroyed, and "SE_AGB_NIGHT_WALK_PLAYER_ELEC_SHOCK" for when Play-Yan gets shocked by a Biribiriuo in Night Walk 2. Neither of these events occur in this version of Night Walk.
Regional Differences
If the player makes a mistake while jumping, a symbol is displayed rather than a heart. In Minna no Rhythm Tengoku, this symbol is "NG", as with Rhythm Tengoku. In other regions, it is localized appropriately, being "Miss" in English, "Raté!" in French, "Daneben" in German, "Ops!" in Italian, and "Fallo!" in Spanish. In Rhythm World Wii, it is kept as "NG".
Oddly, the Japanese, English and Korean versions of the game have ever-so-slightly thicker outlines over all sprites than the European versions.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix
Night Walk consists of the following versions in Rhythm Heaven Megamix:

Within the prologue file for Night Walk inRhythm Sesang: The Best+, the text pane uses the placeholder text 밤의 산책 (Bam-ui Sanchaeg?, Night Walk), rather than its proper title of 나이트 워킹 (Naiteu Woking?, Night Walking). InRhythm Tengoku: The Best+, Rhythm Heaven Megamix and Rhythm Paradise Megamix, the placeholder is ナイトウォーク (Night Walk?).
Updated sprites for Play-Yan depicting him standing still, and getting electrocuted, along with the Biribiriuo's sprite and their sound effect "SE_AGB_NIGHT_WALK_PLAYER_ELEC_SHOCK" which appeared in Night Walk 2, are present in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, though there is no code to make use of them. The sprites for the word balloon with a music note in it also return, though it has no animations.
Regional Differences
If the player makes a mistake while jumping, the object comes out halfway and displays a symbol. In Rhythm Tengoku: The Best+, this symbol is "NG", as with previous games. In other regions, it is replaced with an "✖" symbol.

Ah, no, it's just a nickname that's under development, right?) ~ Kazuyoshi Osawa, ほぼ日刊イトイ新聞 - 樹の上の秘密基地。 (Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun - A secret base on a tree.)
(There was a digital audio player called "Play-Yan" that could be used with the DS and GBA, and I used that character. It was originally an endless game. It seems like it doesn't end until you fail and fall off. But when we decided to include it as a single game, we had to create an ending, so we decided to make it a flying punchline. It's fine if it flies away (laughs).) ~ Masami Yone, Rhythm Tengoku Zen Kyoku-shu STAFF'S VOICE
