During Cheer Readers in Remix 9, when the girls spin and open their books in the beginning, the Girl from Tap Trial is shown in the images. The first two variants have her Remix 5 and Remix 7 outfits, with the third using the one from Tap Trial 2. While the bottom right page of the last one can be seen if the player misses on the Remix 7 variant, the full image is never used in the game.
Regional Differences
In Minna no Rhythm Tengoku, Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm World Wii, the books have "BOOK" written on them. In a likely effort to simplify localization, Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise replaced the word with four circles. This did not affect the word "Books" on the Cheer Readers' uniforms. This change is not reflected in Rhythm Paradise Megamix, where the "BOOK" writing is used in all languages.
The font for the subtitles was changed across regions.

According to the debug menu of Rhythm Heaven Megamix, a short version of Cheer Readers was planned. This is further supported by the existence of strings for the short version's Rhythm Item in Rhythm Tengoku: The Best+'s data, though they are blank.
Additionally, in the layout files "common.zlib" and "coffee_common.zlib", in the files "cmn_cursorU.bflyt" and "cursorU.bflyt" respectively (which handles the graphics for the textbox containing the name of each game on the map screen), the pane "cursorN/map_cursor_game2/titleT_game2" uses the text かえってきた 図書ガールズ (Kaettekita Tosho Gāruzu?, Book Girls Returns) (with a line break in the middle) as a placeholder. This is the title that the long version of Cheer Readers would be given to differentiate it from the short version.
In Rhythm Heaven Fever, releasing Ⓐ+Ⓑ together when the player is not supposed to causes the girl opens the book on the wrong page. This is no longer possible in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, where releasing Ⓑ simply causes the book to stop at a tilted angle. The textures and animations for showing the wrong page still exist, unused.
There is an unused asset of an unfilled ROBO M in the Practice for Cheer Readers in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, being the "full" image of the wrong page in the used image. The wrong page for this one is instead an extension of the image from the neighboring page on the texture. Interestingly, this asset isn't present in Rhythm Heaven Fever.
