In Rhythm Heaven, there's a unused person that would block the view of the player. This person has blonde hair with blue clothing, and it's a recolor of the used in the game with red cap, white shirt and sunglasses. This sprite was remastered and used in the remake of this minigame in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

There is an unused second design for this man with blonde hair, blue clothing and no sunglasses. This unused walker would later be used in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, replacing the second instance. Additionally, the girlfriend has an animation for walking to the right, while she only ever walks to the left.

There is an unused second design for this man with blonde hair, blue clothing and no sunglasses. This unused walker would later be used in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, replacing the second instance. Additionally, the girlfriend has an animation for walking to the right, while she only ever walks to the left.

Regional Differences

In Rhythm Tengoku Gold, Rhythm Heaven, the English version of Rhythm Paradise and Rhythm World, the prologue features an animation of the logo coming in from the right. In the French, German, Italian and Spanish versions of Rhythm Paradise, it remains in the middle of the screen throughout the whole animation.

In Rhythm Paradise, the symbols used to represent how well the player performed are replaced with color-coded hand gestures. The animation is also slightly different: In the English version, the hand gestures blink once when they appear, just as the symbols do in the other regions. In the French, German, Italian and Spanish versions, they grow and shrink as they appear instead.
