Early Ideas
The basis of this game stemmed from the idea of cutting a wedding cake, as while one would be trying to concentrate on the cutting of the cake, wedding guests would take pictures and request the person's attention. The developers thought that the idea of a cake-cutting rhythm game didn't seem too promising and came up with the Wrestler interview scenario instead. The music had not been composed at the time that the Wrestler character was drawn[1].
Unused Content
There are sprites of papers, toilet paper and a microphone in Ringside which go unused. The Remix 4 version specifically also has an unused silhouette of The Wandering Samurai.
Wrestler's texture contains sprites for a "1" meant to be placed on his mask. It looks different to the "1" used for Player 1 in the Two Player version.
Regional Differences
In Minna no Rhythm Tengoku, the blue squares with stars have the word "YONE" below them; a reference to one of game's developers, Masami Yone. In all other versions, his name is ommited.
In Rhythm World Wii, the red and yellow stripes after a successful pose are replaced with orange and yellow stripes. The background in the Two Player version of Ringside has the same colors as the One Player version, rather than using the unique colors that all other versions use.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix
Ringside consists of the following versions in Rhythm Heaven Megamix:

Ringside (Wario...Where? 2: The Sequel) |
Unused Content
There are sprites of papers, toilet paper and a microphone in Ringside which go unused.
Wrestler's texture contains sprites for his sweat, leftover from Rhythm Heaven Fever. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the sweat sprites are stored in Reporter's texture instead, in larger clumps of drops rather than several individual drops, presumably to save on resources. Wrestler's alternate "1" is also leftover.
Regional Differences
In Rhythm Tengoku: The Best+, the blue squares with stars have the word "YONE" below them like in Minna no Rhythm Tengoku; the name is ommited in other versions accordingly.
In Rhythm Heaven Fever, the background in the OK epilogue has blue and orange stripes. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, they are orange and yellow instead. In Rhythm Sesang: The Best+, they are changed to blue and cyan stripes instead.

Miscellaneous
There is a separate version for Ringside in Left-Hand Remix, despite not changing appearance. The only difference in it is some background textures (such as the one showing the Rhythm Arena) are shrunken down, dropping their quality. These backgrounds aren't seen during the remix. Presumably, this is done to allow the game to load faster due to limitations of the Nintendo 3DS hardware.
