Bossa Nova |
Primitive people played a lot more volleyball than most people realize. Also, their music was pretty cool. |
Rhythm Heaven Megamix |
Bossa Nova (ボッサレシーブ?, Bossa Receive) is the 3rd Rhythm Game of Stage 6 (28th overall) in Rhythm Heaven Fever and the 3rd of Shop No. 4 (102nd overall), costing 12 Flow Balls, in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Gameplay
In the game, the player takes control of Bossa, bouncing away shapes as they fly onto the screen along with Nova. Each shape follows a fixed rhythm with no change. The square shapes have two beats with the second beat at half. The circle shapes always start with a single note, then continues with two quick notes before a beat. Occasionally Bossa and Nova may switch positions, swapping roles with the shapes.
Controls
- Ⓐ/Tap: Bump
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!?: The player bumps the shape.
- Early!/Late!?: The player bumps the shape very weakly, causing it to fall down with a "doink" sound. In the Two Player Endless Game, this causes the players to lose a life.
- Miss...?: The player gets struck by the shape. The voices get interrupted as a result, and briefly sound angrier afterwards. If the player bounces at the same as Nova does, the two bump heads and she yelps. In the Two Player Endless Game, this causes the players to lose a life.

I'm glad we moved here from the cave. It's warmer, and there's a volleyball court in the yard. The neighborhood has a few loud mastodons, but no place is perfect. |
Skill Star
The Skill Star appears after the cloud passes by the fishing caveman, in the middle of Bossa bumping the round objects near the end of the game. It is notable for being placed in the middle of a set of actions rather than a transition, as most other Skill Stars in the game.

Two-Player Endless Game
Bossa Nova (ボッサレシーブ?, Bossa Receive) is the 5th Two-Player Endless Game in Rhythm Heaven Fever, unlocked with 8 Duo Medals.
The game is a Two Player endless version of the original, ending once all three lives are lost. P1 controls Bossa and p2 controls Nova. The background is now a featureless grey void. Each time the pair hits a shape, a letter is typed out on the top of the screen, ultimately spelling out a story.

Trivia
- This game's background appears to be based on one of the intro movies to WarioWare, Inc: Mega Party Game$![1]
- In the version of Rhythm Heaven Megamix, playing this game with Japanese voices has it play the English voices instead. This error was not present in Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise, and is corrected in Rhythm Paradise Megamix and Rhythm Sesang: The Best+.
