Unused Content

Within the prologue file for LumBEARjack 2 in Rhythm Heaven Megamix and Rhythm Paradise Megamix, the text pane has placeholder text naming the game Firewood Cats Returns (with a line break for the word "Returns"). In the English versions, this is replaced with LumBEARjack 2 during gameplay, and the placeholder in the short version LumBEARjack remains the Japanese title. In Rhythm Sesang: The Best+, LumBEARjack's placeholder is the proper title of 장작 고양이 (Jangjag Goyang-i^?, Firewood Cats), while LumBEARjack 2 uses マキネコ (Makineko^?, Firewood Cats) instead.

Unused sprites and animations include:

• "beast_beat": shows Woodcutter Bear bobbing to the beat while holding the axe low. The used animation "beast_beat2" has him hold it above his head.
• "beast_cut_body", while used, contains a red number 1 around the middle of his chest, which should not be visible. It is partially obscured by the yellow trail left by the axe in the overlapping "beast_cut_arm" animation.
• "beast_rest": this animation goes unused in Barbershop Remix.
• "beast_surprisedL": this animation also goes unused in Barbershop Remix.
• "beast_surprisedR": while this one is only used in Barbershop Remix.
• "z_beast_ready_cut" and "z_beast_ready_cut_1": an assembled version of Woodcutter Bear swinging the axe.
• The Lumbercats have unused sprites of their pants in their respective purple, light-blue and green colors. The used sprite is white, and colored in-engine instead. There is also a head with a darker fur color.
  • In Barbershop Remix, the Lumbercats have two more variations with purple and blue pants respectively. There are also three unused head variations, two of the normal and unused darker-furred heads with a smaller fluffy haircut, and one of the darker-furred head with a big afro similar to the used one, with different colors.
