Space Dance |
You want a dancing challenge? Try dancing in zero gravity! IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE! |
Rhythm Heaven Megamix |
Space Dance (スペースダンス?, Space Dance) is the 5th Rhythm Game of Stage 3 (17th overall) in Rhythm Tengoku and the 1st of Planet Land (71st overall) in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
The arrange version, Cosmic Dance, appears in Revival in Rhythm Tengoku and Tibby's Mom in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Gameplay
A group of Space Dancers are dancing together, and the player must dance in time with the others. They follow the directions of the other dancers and Space Gramps by pressing the corresponding button as the partners signal what to do. The three moves in this game are:
- Pose (かたむく?, Katamuku): A voice says "And Pose!" ("Turn Right!"?), where the dancers raise their left hand on "And", then tilt to the side on "Pose!"
- Squat (スクワット?, Sukuwatto): A voice says "Let's Sit Down!", where the dancers stand up on "Let's", then squat on "Down!"
- Punch (パンチ?, Panchi): A voice says "Pu-Pu-Pu-Punch!", where the dancers motion with their open palms on the first three syllables, and punch on the last one.
Controls
- Ⓐ/Tap: Punch
- ✚/Tap: Pose (right)/squat (down)
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!?: The player follows along with the others.
- Early!/Late!?: The player follows out of sync, making a "tick" sound. Space Gramps raises an eyebrow.
- Miss...?: The other dancers collide with the player as they make their move. Space Gramps looks embarrassed.

Space Dance 2P (スペースダンス 2P?, Space Dance 2P) is the 1st Rhythm Game of Stage 3 (9th overall) in the 2P mode of Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade).
The arrange version, Cosmo Dance 2P, appears in Stage 4 of the 2P mode of Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade).
The game plays the same as the 1P version, except the first player controls the second dancer, and the second player controls the fourth dancer. Oddly enough, P1 cannot hit the third dancer in line.

I wrote the lyrics and music myself, asked a designer girl to sing the song, and had Tsunku♂ listen to it. Then, Tsunku♂ complimented me on my song, saying, "The singer is good". I had faint hopes that they might use the song as it was, but then, after that, Ami Tokito sang it for us. Even though it was just a draft, I put a lot of energy into it (laughs).
