Bunny Hop |
This rabbit has an impossible goal: to jump all the way to the moon! Can you make his absurd dream reality? |
Rhythm Heaven Megamix |
Bunny Hop (ウサギとび?, Usagi Tobi) is the 3rd Rhythm Game of Stage 3 (15th overall) in Rhythm Tengoku and the 1st of Donut Land (14th overall) in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Gameplay
In this game, the player is a Rabbit on a tough mission: to jump all the way to the moon by jumping on sea animals. Each animal has different timing: turtles and upright whales are jumped on each beat, small whales rest for a two-count, Mr. Whale's tail rests for a four-count, and the big whale tail rests for an eight-count. There is also a whale at the end who helps the bunny reach the moon.
Controls
- Ⓐ/Tap: Jump
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!?: The rabbit jumps onto the next sea animal.
- Early!/Late!?: A "doink" is heard, making the rabbit stumble over the sea animal.
- Miss...?: The rabbit stumbles over the sea animal. If this happens on a jump, the rabbit goes lower than usual.

Japanese folklore says there's a rabbit on the moon, using a mortar and pestle to make mochi. But everyone sees the markings on the moon differently. I see a crab with huge claws! |
Skill Star
The Skill Star appears on the second 8-beat wait, specifically on the beat when the Rabbit resumes hopping.

Trivia
- This is one of the few games that doesn't feature a Practice in the series.
- However, it did get a How to Play demonstration in the arcade version, and a Practice in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
- The image of the rabbit on the moon upon completion of the game is a reference to the moon rabbit, a Japanese myth which says that the dark patches on the moon's surface are a rabbit pounding dough to make mochi for the mortals on Earth.
- This game's music bears a striking resemblance to Mike's Theme from WarioWare: Touched!.
- Rat Race, Quiz Show, Big Rock Finish, Fan Club 2 and this game are the only games to receive remixed music in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
- In Rhythm Tengoku, the large whales that launches the player up for an eight-count are darker than the otherwise identical ones that are hopped across on the beat. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, they are the same color.
