Airboarder |
What's more fun than surfing? Surfing on the air! Watch out for the huge blocks someone left all over. |
Rhythm Heaven Megamix |
Airboarder (エアボーダー?, Eabōdā) is the Credits Game in Rhythm Heaven and the 2nd of Donut Land (15th overall) in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Gameplay
In this game, the player controls the third of three Airboarders airboarding through a colorful land of blocks, accompanied by the Dog to their right. The goal is to avoid the blocks in the way of the track by ducking underneath the objects blocking their heads and jumping over the objects that trip them over. The player must simply follow the actions of the other two to do so.
After clearing Remix 6 in Rhythm Heaven, the player watches the Staff Credits, where Airboarder is played automatically, after which the cast of characters is shown. It is then unlocked alongside Built to Scale 2 as a playable game of its own, where the cast afterwards is skippable. The player does not receive a Medal for obtaining a Superb on it, nor can they go for a Perfect.
In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the game received a significant visual upgrade compared to most returning games. The airboarders became slimmer and have more rounded heads, and the 3D models and environments are much cleaner. It is also played as a regular Rhythm Game, giving a Medal for obtaining a Superb and allowing a Perfect Campaign. Rather than the Staff Credits, the song's lyrics are shown instead.
