Catch of the Day
It's a perfect day for fishing. The best anglers don't just know about casting and bait--they learn the fish's personalities.
In this game, the player controls Master Fisherwoman Ann Glerr. The fish approach the hook one by one, making a signal before biting the bait. The player needs to set the hook as soon a they bite to catch them.
The Quicknibble, which are small and orange, nip the bait twice to the beat before biting on the third.
The Pausegill, which are yellow with bigger lips, nip the bait three times in swift succession, after which it waits one beat before biting.
The Threefish, the biggest one, quickly tastes the bait with its tongue, after which it waits three and a half beats before biting.
Occasionally, other aquatic creatures swim across the screen to block the player's view.
I've heard that this lure is the absolute best for catching the elusive Threefish, but... I just can't bear to take it out of the package! It's mint in box! How could I destroy that?
The Student from the DJ School makes a cameo appearance in the Try Again epilogue as a salesman where Ann Glerr goes to buy some fish after unsuccessful fishing.
In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the amount of flying fish covering the screen during one part of the game was reduced.
