|
Coins (コイン?, Koin) and Flow Balls (ノリ玉?, Nori-dama) are collectable currencies in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Coins
Coins can be obtained by completing Rhythm Games, clearing Challenge Train courses more than once and winning battles in Figure Fighter VS. The MAX amount of coins is 9999.
They can be used to pay Rupert to skip a Rhythm Game that the player cannot clear after three failures. The cost goes from 3 coins in Earth World before clearing Lush Tower, 10 for the remaining towers in Lush Woods, 20 in Heaven World, and 30 in Mamarin Palace. They are needed to pay for the challenge charge of the Trials given by the Gatekeeper Trio until they are cleared. Going solo on the Challenge Train costs a challenge charge of 5 coins. Coins can be spent at the Shop to buy Rhythm Items and Music. They can also be used to feed the goat instead of turnips.
Flow Ball
Flow Balls are obtained in Challenge Land. One is obtained for each Perfect, and several can be obtained by completing a Challenge Train course for the first time[1], unless the player is using Download Play[2].
They can be used in the Shop to buy Rhythm Games. If the player still has Flow Balls after purchasing all of the Rhythm Games, Saffron will exchange them for 30 coins each[3].
Trivia
- Saffron is noted to like coins, as stated on his Mascot. He also likes to keep the player retrying the Trials to get more money out of them[4].
- Coins appear to be kept in Tibby's hair like a piggybank, as shown during the results after completing a Rhythm Game.
