The three Rats run across a very, very long kitchen table. During the Practice and Remixes (and in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the first half of the game), the frontmost rat uses a stoplight to give signals. Ms. Whiskers repeatedly pops up to try to catch the rats, and when she appears, they need to stop behind a stack of plates. The music goes quiet for a few bit before it starts building up, and the rats prepare to run off.
Perfect!/Ace!?: The white rat stops and starts correctly.
Early!/Late!?: When stopping, the white rat halts abrutly, sweating a little. When starting, the white rat starts moving at the wrong time.
Miss...?: When stopping, the white rat bumps into the rat infront of him, causing it to get angry. When starting, the white rat stays in place, causing the one behind him to bump into him. If the player holds for too long, the white rat falls behind, and automatically starts moving to catch up. If any rat happens to not be covered by dishes when Ms. Whiskers comes up, they will cower in fear and sweat profusely.
