Karateka 2 (カラテ家 2?, Karateka 2) is the 1st Rhythm Game of Technician (37st overall) in Rhythm Tengoku.
The short version, Karate Man, appears in Honeybee Land in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
The long version, Karate Man Returns!, appears in Stage 1 of Rhythm Tengoku and Honeybee Tower in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Gameplay
The song is the same as before, but there are major tempo changes that can throw the player off track, as it affects the speed at which the objects fly in as well. The background is a featureless magenta plain which adds stripes when the flow gauge is at three hearts or higher.
Controls
- Ⓐ: Punch
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!?: Karate Joe punches the object off-screen. The flow gauge goes up by one. If the player punches a rock or bomb when the flow gauge is too low, he will hurt his fist, counting as a miss instead.
- Early!/Late!?: Karate Joe mistimes the punch, causing him to wince as the object lands on the ground just in front of him. The flow gauge goes down by one.
- Miss...?: Karate Joe gasps as the object flies past him. The flow gauge is emptied completely.
