The topic of this game is plucking the hairs off of vegetables, as well as dealing with the curly ones. In Rhythm Tengoku, the arrange version, Rhythm Datsumo 2, is unlocked later on.
The game starts with an image of a vegetable. Several hairs, both straight and curly, appear in a rhythmic pattern. After the pattern ends, a pair of hair clippers will start to scroll around the vegetable, making the player repeat the rhythm it was given to pluck the hairs. Curly hairs also appear, which require the player to hold down the button for longer.
While the gameplay is identical in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the background is now purple instead of white, and the turnips are replaced with potatoes.
しっかり ぬいてください。(Please pluck them properly.) ながい毛が 処理できてません。(A lot of long hairs were left untrimmed.) 多いところが ぬきのこしすぎです。(The parts with many hairs aren't clean.)

(Hmm...) (Well, I wonder.) (For now...) (All right.)
ながい毛が すっきりです!(The long hairs were plucked clean!) 多かったところ、ツルツルです!(The parts with many hairs are clean!)

Word around the Onion Salon
You missed a few. The curly ones were tough for you.
My grandpa used to cook soup with lots of potatoes and onions. He used the veggies with the hairs growing. I ate that soup just about every day... You'd think I wouldn't be so bald now.
Skill Star
The skill star appears on the 8th vegetable, which is a potato with one hair on either side and five hairs in between.
Challenge Land
Rhythm Tweezers 2 appears in the following Challenge Train courses:
Rhythm Datsumo (リズム脱毛 ?, Rhythm Datsumō ) is a version of this game and the second in the Extra Stage in Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade). Here, the tempo is faster, there's a new arrangement of the song, and the vegetables are replaced with a pumpkin, a radish and a watermelon.
Rhythm Datsumo also appears in the 2P mode of the arcade version of Rhythm Tengoku, where it is referred to as Rhythm Datsumo 2P (リズム脱毛 2P?, Rhythm Datsumo 2P). Each vegetable is done in turns, first by Player 1 and then by Player 2. As a result, the game is twice as long as the regular version.
Rhythm Datsumo also appears in the 2P mode of Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade) where it is referred to as Rhythm Datsumo 2P (リズム脱毛 2P ?, Rhythm Datsumō 2P ). The same changes as the original apply here.

Trivia
The game was originally going to use a realistic photo of a human's face, but was replaced because the developers found it too creepy.[1]
The vegetables in this game later appeared in Crop Stomp.
In the endless game Wake-Up Caller, when a flower grows, on rare occasions it has a Harry Onion, a turnip or a green onion with flowers on its top for a flower head.
This game's music plays in the Hi-Hat Rhythm Toy, named "Hi-Hat (Arabic Theme)".
The second type of vegetable changed the most throughout each version.
In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, plucking a curly hair will always indicate perfect timing on the release.
WarioWare Gold includes an abridged version of Rhythm Tweezers in the Mash League, as a microgame in 5-Volts stage. The player can’t use the D-Pad to pull the hair, and the hairs are always in the same rhythm for a vegetable.
