The leftmost chorus kid will be the first to sing a note, and then the chorus kid in the middle will sing another note. The player's chorus kid must follow along with the other two. Hold the A button or stylus to keep your "yap" closed, release to sing, and then close your mouth again at the correct time. When [[The Conductor]] says, "Together now!" ('''Japanese''': みんなで！''minna de!''), the chorus kids must sing loudly at a screaming-like pitch.

The player must open and close their mouth to sing along, with the catch being that they must hold the button or tap to keep their mouth shut. When [[The Conductor]] says {{Nihongo|"Together now!"|みんなで！|Min'nade!}}, the chorus kids must wail together. In the latter half of the song, the [[Chorus Kids]] must hold the note and stop together. In ''[[Rhythm Heaven]]'', there is no cue for when to stop, while in ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]'', [[The Conductor]] waves his baton as a signal.
