Exhibition Match |
OK, Mr. Big Batting Hero, time to show off your skills in an exhibition match. Don't let anything get past you! |
Rhythm Heaven Megamix |
Exhibition Match (バッティングショー?, Batting Show) is the 3rd Rhythm Game of Stage 5 (23rd overall) in Rhythm Heaven Fever and the 3rd of Donut Land (16th overall) in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Gameplay
The player controls Slugger, the batter in yellow clothing on the right side of the screen. On the other side is Pitcher, a young girl wearing pink clothing. She throws a baseball behind a curtain, and it flies out after four beats. The player needs to swing on the fifth beat to hit the ball.
The entire game revolves around trying to mislead the player. Although they only need to swing on the fifth beat, the game zooms in or out and cuts off the music, and at one point zooming all the way out.
In the end, the curtain goes up to reveal a Monkey, who is the one catching the ball and throwing it with a delay.
Controls
- Ⓐ/Tap: Swing bat
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!?: The player successfully hits the ball towards the screen, and Slugger laughs with glee. The audience cheers. Pitcher makes a shocked expression. The more hits the player make as the game goes on, the more Slugger shows off, doing things like waving his bat. The pitcher also gets more upset and nervous, even throwing her hat on the ground if the first five throws are hit. Before the last throw, she sweats when the Monkey is shown. Slugger reacts with confusion to the Monkey.
- Early!/Late!?: The player simply taps the ball as it falls to the ground, making the audience laugh.
- Miss...?: Missing the ball completely makes Slugger embarassed as the ball goes past him, and the crowd boos. Trying to swing too early or too late causes him to spin around, amusing the crowd. Pitcher is happy in either scenario.
