It features [[Karate Joe's father]], the master of karate. This game includes every single function from previous [[Karate Man (Disambiguation)|Karate Man]] games like kicking bombs, perfecting combos, soccer balls, cooking pots and more.

[[File:Karate_Man's_Father_gameplay.PNG|thumb|left|200px]]In this game, you are in the place of Karate Joe's Father. As objects fly by the character, the player must press A to punch them off-screen. On occasion, a lightbulb will be thrown and start glowing yellow indicating that a barrel containing a bomb will be thrown next. After punching the barrel open, the bomb must then be kicked away by releasing A button at the same time. There is also a combo, which will appear when a light-bulb appears and start glowing blue instead of yellow. Directly after the light-bulb will follow with several pots and then a barrel, which the player will have to hit with a flurry of punches and kicks.

This game is shown to be more ambitious than any of the other previous Karate Man games, not only because of the high tempo, but because of the amount of objects that fly by at once, combined with having to perform two types of combos.

*[[Karate Joe]] makes a cameo in Try Again rating after seeing his father feeling old and tired.
*This game is notable for being grouped with other arrange games, despite not being an arrange version of any game. It can be seen as an arrange version of ''all'' previous [[Karate Man]] games rather than any one in particular.
*[[Karate Joe's father]] has different clothes in the Superb screen.
*[[Father]] jumps while doing the uppercut for a combo. Functionally, aside from the combo being thrown one beat earlier compared to the Light Bulb than in [[Karate Man Combos!]], it is still the same, however.
*While doing "Punch, kick!", you can actually knock-off the barrel if you press B for combo without releasing a bomb.
*[[Karate Joe]] rates his [[Father]]'s performance, while usually it's "the Master" who rates Karate Joe's performance.
*The rating screens in the game look similar to rating screens from the other Karate Man games in ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]'': The [[Try Again]] rating screen looks similar to the one from [[Karate Man Combos!]] with both feeling weak while being in a featureless colored background, the [[OK]] rating screen in similar to the one from [[Karate Man Kicks!]] with both characters sitting down and eating, and the [[Superb]] rating screen looks similar to the one from [[Karate Man Returns!]] with both characters dashing in the air while striking the same pose.
*The epilogue to this game references the ones to other [[Karate Man]] games: The [[Try Again]] epilogue has a somewhat similar idea to the one to [[Karate Man Combos!]] with [[Karate Joe]]'s pose being the same as in the [[Try Again]] epilogue to [[Karate Man (3DS)|Karate Man]] and [[Karate Man Returns!]] in ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]'', the [[OK]] epilogue is similar to the one to [[Karate Man Kicks!]], and the [[Superb]] epilogue looks similar to the one to [[Karate Man (3DS)|Karate Man]] and [[Karate Man Returns!]] in ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]''.
*This game is notable for being in a set of sequels, without having any prequels of it's own (unless one counts it as a sequel to the entire series of "Karate Man" minigames).

Karate Man Senior (カラテちち?, Karateka no Chichi) is the 4th Rhythm Game of Tibby's Mom (89th overall) in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

Despite its name and placement, this is not an arrange version of any Karate Man game.

Gameplay

Screenshot 3DS Karate Man Senior.png

In this game, the player is in the place of Karate Joe's Father. This game mixes everything from all previous Karate Man games, featuring the following objects:

This game also introduces multiple punches, where objects are thrown on every half beat.

Controls

  • Ⓐ/Tap: Punch
  • Ⓐ (Hold)/Tap (Hold): Squat
  • Ⓐ (Release)/Tap (Release): Kick
  • Ⓑ (Hold)/Tap (Hold): Start combo (punching flurry)
  • Ⓑ (Release)/Tap (Release): End combo (uppercut)

Timing Display

  • Perfect!/Ace!?: Father punches the object off-screen. For a barrel, he punches it and kicks away the bomb in it, smiling afterwards. During a combo, he successfully punches away the pots and uppercuts the barrel, breaking it apart. He reacts with a blush.
  • Early!/Late!?: Father mistimes the punch, causing him to wince as the object lands on the ground just in front of him. If the barrel is broken, the bomb is grazed, landing only a short distance away. Mistiming the first pot or the barrel in a combo has the same effect, and he reacts with a sad face.
  • Miss...?: Father gasps as the object flies past him. If the barrel is broken, the bomb falls to the ground. During a combo, if he misses the pot, he looks sad. If he misses the barrel by not uppercutting, he stands up, looking sad. If the player lets go of the button too soon or tries to do a combo at the wrong time, he spins out after doing the low kick. If the player attempts to do a combo on a kick barrel, Father knocks it away without breaking it.
