A red rod will begin to bounce on the blocks. When it reaches the red block, the player must bounce the rod by pushing the block up. The player must continue doing this for as many times it bounces to the red block. When the two widgets appear, the player must be ready for when the red block starts to back into its end. This signals that the player must spring the rod toward the two widgets.

The factory features four blocks attached to a wall by springs, with the player controlling the third one in line. The player's block is red in color and has an "A" on it, with a "B" on the base. A red rod begins bouncing along the blocks, and the player needs to activate the block to bounce it along the line. Two squares gradually start moving toward each other, and when they meet, the red block pulls back. The player must extend it forward to shoot the rod into the squares, assembling them into a [[Widget]].


The entire game follows the same basic pattern, with a different tempo each time.

  • In Rhythm Heaven Fever, the letters A and B light up when the red block pulls back, signaling the buttons that must be pressed. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, only the letter B lights up, matching the new controls for the game.
