The player's main job is to clap in to the rhythm allocated by the first two cats by pressing the A button to clap with them, or if necessary when two mice appear in the background instead of two cats during the gameplay. If they are about to spin, hold the B button to spin along with the other two and release at the right time. If they notice a fish from above, you need to press A quickly to catch it before the other two do. Each one of the cues have a different timing. The Skill Star can be obtained after the cat aims for the fish for the second time.

Perfect the second fish in right timing to collect the star.
*During Practice, each section is preceded by a count of "A one, a two, a one, two, three, go!" In Japanese, these voice clips are reused from games such as Ura Otoko and Cosmo Dance in Rhythm Tengoku, as opposed to using the female announcer introduced in Rhythm Heaven Fever.
*At one point, the first two kitties are replaced with Backup Mice.
Trivia
*The tasty fish resembles the Quicknibble from Catch of the Day.
* The fish the cats catch resembles the Quicknibble from Catch of the Day.
**The fish is a loose reference to the "Bucket of Fish" drum fill that plays in those moments.
* Before Megamix was released, the game was usually referred to Cat Clap or Neko Clap.
Development History
* Parodies of Kitties! have appeared all over the Internet, particularly YouTube, showcasing cats as different characters from other animes or cartoons clapping, spinning and aiming for the fish.
Kitties!/Development
* It's possible that this game is based off The Clappy Trio, as they have similar rhythms.
