This game retains the same gameplay-style as before, requiring the player to swim to the beat with other Microbes. However, this version introduces a new cue, a two-step swim. The path the Microbes take is also different, leading in an inward spiral culminating in a U-turn, and then moving outward. The bubbles in the latter half appear as jagged circles.
Early!/Late!?: The player mistimes their step, and lightly bumps into the neighboring microbe.
Miss...?: The player bumps into the neighboring microbes.
