Karate Man 2 (カラテ家2?, Karateka 2) is the 2nd Rhythm Game of the ninth stage (42nd overall) in Rhythm Heaven.
The long version, Karate Man Kicks!, appears in the sixth stage in Rhythm Heaven and Shop No. 2 in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Gameplay
Karate Joe continues training his kicks. The game's main change is a new color set, with everything being red and yellow-ish orange. The only other change is that when a barrel kick is pulled off, Karate Joe makes a confident face. The gameplay is otherwise nearly identical to the original. The pace is merely sped up and the patterns get more complicated.
Controls
- Tap: Punch
- Tap (Hold): Squat
- Tap (Release): Stand back up
- Flick: Kick
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!?: Karate Joe punches the object off-screen. For a barrel, he punches it and kicks away the bomb in it, making a weird smile afterwards.
- Early!/Late!?: Karate Joe mistimes the punch, causing him to wince as the object lands on the ground just in front of him. If the barrel is broken, the bomb is grazed, landing only a short distance away.
- Miss...?: Karate Joe gasps as the object flies past him. If the barrel is broken, the bomb falls to the ground.
