Lockstep 2 (ウラオモテ2?, Ura Omote 2) is the 4th Rhythm Game of the eight stage (39th overall) in Rhythm Heaven.
The long version, Lockstep, appears in the sixth stage of Rhythm Heaven and in Planet Land in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Gameplay
The gameplay of this game is almost exactly the same, but the tempo is slower. The music has a swing rhythm (or "some bounce to it"), altering when the player needs to tap during the offbeats. The person the Stepswitchers form when fully zoomed out, who resembles Johann Sebastian Bach, returns in this game sporting an afro similar to the ones that The Clappy Trio wear.
Controls
- Tap: March
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!?: The player marches correctly.
- Early!/Late!?: The player marches slightly off, resulting in a "tick" sound. This does not cause the player to fail a Perfect Campaign.
- Miss...?: The player steps on the wrong beat (or not at all) and gets smacked by the Stepswitcher next to them.

On the beat? You're a little off. Offbeat? More like just plain "off." Sloppy work on the transitions. |

Hm... Good enough... I don't know... I guess that was all right. |

You were all right on the beat. You hit the offbeats pretty well. Nice transitions between beats. |

Epilogue
This calls for a "do over." | Not too shabby! | Wahahahaha!!! |

Trivia
- Like with Lockstep, the game stops tracking the player's performance during the last ten steps, meaning it does not impact the player's score or Perfect Campaign.
- The song uses a swing beat to differentiate itself from Lockstep. Despite this, the results still refer to it as the "offbeat".
