The blue drummer must copy every beat the red drummer makes during his turn and must perform it correctly in the same rhythm as him. The red drummer's speed in rhythm gets gradually faster near the end of the game.
The game stars the [[Taiko Rally Squad]]. The player controls a blue drummer who is competing against the red team in a taiko duel. The red drummer plays a pattern on the drum, and the blue drummer must copy it. While they drum, a set of cute [[Rally Girls|cheerleaders]] dance around beneath them.

**Additionally, there's sprites for what appears to be an announcer, who points to the currently playing drummer, reacting to the player's performance the same way as the cheerleaders.
