Tambourine is the 2nd Rhythm Game of the second stage (7th overall) in Rhythm Heaven Fever.
Gameplay
In this game, the player controls an unseen human holding a tambourine. In front of the player is a little monkey holding a tambourine. The monkey will perform a "set" of notes, shaking and hitting his tambourine to create a pattern. After the monkey finishes, he will cue the player with a call. The player will then have to repeat the pattern to the monkey by shaking and hitting their own tambourine. After the pattern is finished, the monkey will start the next set. Each set consists of 7 notes, with the length between notes and the command type varying.
Controls
- Ⓐ: Shake tambourine
- Ⓐ+Ⓑ: Hit tambourine
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!: The monkey continues watching. At the end of a set done well, the monkey will smile, and flowers will appear around his head.
- Early!/Late!: The monkey will look embarrassed and sweat.
- Miss...: Missing the timing badly will cause a frog to jump on the monkey's head and stay there for a while before jumping off.

Two-Player Mode
Tambourine is the 2nd Two-Player Rhythm Game in Rhythm Heaven Fever.
Similar to the original, the players must copy the patterns of a monkey with their tambourines. P1 follows a blue monkey and P2 follows an orange monkey. The monkeys and players are parallel to each other rather than angled like the original. Some patterns require only one player to play at a time.
Trivia
- This, along with the two-player version of it, is the only game in Rhythm Heaven Fever that has no animation on the prologue.
- The reason a monkey was used for this game might be because of the cymbal-banging monkey, a well-known children's toy.
- This minigame seems to take the phrase: "monkey see, monkey do" but in reverse (with the player repeating after the monkey)
- This is one of five games in Rhythm Heaven Fever that doesn't return in Rhythm Heaven Megamix despite having been in 3 remixes (Remix 2, 9, 10)
- The monkey has an unused sprite of him looking to the left, closing his eyes, & smiling. Oddly enough, every version except for the one in Remix 2 has a recolored version of the sprite.
- There’s also a small monkey-shaped shadow as well, which was presumably used to represent said monkey instead of the generic circle-shaped one.
