Template:Game-Nav Template:Game-Nav Template:Minigame infobox Cosmic Rhythm Rally (コスモピンポン?, Cosmo Ping-Pong), known in Rhythm Heaven as Rhythm Rally 2 (ピンポン2?, Ping-Pong 2), is the 36th minigame in Rhythm Heaven and the 87th minigame in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. It is the sequel to Rhythm Rally 2. The song is extended, the ping-pong game takes place in outer space, and, in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the Paddlers are replaced with Cosmo Dancers.

The gameplay lasts longer and is more fast paced in comparison with Rhythm Heaven's Rhythm Rally or Rhythm Heaven Megamix's Rhythm Rally 2. The camera is not always facing the opponent, unlike in the first two Rhythm Rally games; it moves constantly and blocks their view, with the objective of causing them to rely more on the rhythm of the ball's bounces. There is also a new move called the high-speed rally, which is cued by eight cowbell sounds, each of them half a beat apart. It is a faster variant of the regular rally and lasts for two measures.there is also a planet that sometimes blocks the view

Simple Tap Mode

  • Tap: Return ball

Timing Notes

  • Hit: The player continues the rally.
  • Barely: The player hits the ball, but it goes off the table to the right (if early) or to the left (if late), and a "doink" sound can be heard. A barely counts as a miss.
  • Miss: The ball falls into the player's side, a whistle is heard, and a new ball appears and is served.

Trivia

  • Cosmic Rhythm Rally is one of the four sequels in Rhythm Heaven to introduce a new cue and a practice section for said cue, the others being Fan Club 2, Fillbots 2, and Rockers 2.
  • In Rhythm Heaven, Cosmic Rhythm Rally and Rhythm Rally have the same Superb epilogue message ("Nothing beats a good rally!").
  • Cosmic Rhythm Rally is one of the few games in Rhythm Heaven Megamix to get a major overhaul in its visuals compared to its original version, which is in Rhythm Heaven as Rhythm Rally 2. Most notably, the Paddlers were replaced with Cosmo Dancers.
  • Cosmic Rhythm Rally is the only threequel game to have a new practice section and a new cue in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
