Samurai Slice (Wii)
An army of evil spirits has invaded a peaceful village. Only a lone samurai can stop them. What dastardly deeds are they up to? |
Template:Minigame infoboxSamurai Slice (悪霊退散?, Akuryou Taisan) is the nineteenth game in Rhythm Heaven Fever. Getting a perfect will unlock the song of the game, also called "Samurai Slice". In this game, you are slicing up demons who are spawning from a dark portal, in order to save the Lost Pinwheel of a little girl. This game has a sequel, called Samurai Slice 2.
Gameplay
In this game, the player must slice a horde of demons, or evil spirits, as they appear, in order to protect the peaceful village. Dark demons will appear and the player must slice them with the sword at the correct time to vanquish them, by pressing A. Occasionally, a vortex of demons will swarm at once and the player has to perform a whirlwind slice, by pressing A and B at the same time, which will make the samurai thrash his sword rapidly.
Controls
- A: Slice sword
- A+B: Whirlwind slice
You use the normal slice for the red demons, but the green ones come out faster, so you have to use the whirlwind slice. The Red demons can also vary in size, but this is just a distraction. There is also a story, which pops up on to the screen mid-game. Again, it is just a distraction.
Hit or Miss
- Hit: The samurai slices the evil spirit in two. The group of spirits are easily cut up by his whirlwind slice.
- Barely: The samurai grazed the spirit. But grazed the first/last one with a "tick" sound as it just lazily falls down, off screen. The horde of spirits are easily vanquished but the last one escapes.
- Miss: The spirit attacks the samurai with a bite. If pressed too early, the samurai will simply miss.

Trivia
- This is the only minigame from the Samurai Slice series that returns in the Best+. The only minigames that didn't return are Samurai Slice for GBA and endless game Samurai Slice for DS.
- This is the only minigame that keeps "To be continued..." sign, though it's sequel does not appear so it would have "The End" instead like Blue Birds did.
- Just like Packing Pests, if you fail the last dark creature who holds a pinwheel, you can't get a perfect, and you'll get OK rate, no matter how hard you do.
