Shoot-'em-up 2 (かえってきた シューティング Kaettekita shutingu "Return of shooting") is the 44th minigame and is a sequel of Shoot-'em-up in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. It's identical to Shoot-'Em-Up from Rhythm Heaven, not confusing the one from DS. It's intruder alert again, the Blastronaut needs your help to protect the Earth from the bad alien invaders. Let's shoot 'em up!

Gameplay

This game acts the same like in the first Shoot-'em-up, but the Blastronaut has been upgraded and it's now colored gray. A varying numbers of aliens are now appearing two times in three waves (Plus the final one which comes in three) on the screen one by one in groups. You need to shoot 5 to 8 aliens at the same time now by pressing A or even D-Pad. You must follow their rhythm when they come by one after another once the music reaches the end of its chorus by repeating the numbers of the appearing aliens. The speed of the game remains the same.

Timing Notes

• Hit: The alien is destroyed completely
• Barely: The alien is only disabled, not completely destroyed. This counts as a hit.
• Miss: The alien damages the player's spaceship

Rating Notes

• Try Again: "We win this time, humans!"
• OK: "That was a close fight."
• Superb: "Great shooting!"

The Skill Star can be collected when you complete the last invader pattern during the four wave.

Trivia

  The background in the rating screens from this game is taken straight from Wario Man's stage from WarioWare: Twisted released for the Game Boy Advance.
• In Shoot Em Up Endless it has the same pattern as Shoot Em Up 2 but with it going from Levels 4-6 and the final three bots are not present in the endless verison.
