Power Calligraphy |
Have you ever tried Japanese calligraphy? It requires grace, finesse, and a surprising amount of upper-body strength. |
Rhythm Heaven Megamix |
Template:Game-Nav Template:Game-Nav Template:Game-Nav Template:Minigame infobox Power Calligraphy (リズムお習字?, Rhythm o Shuji) is the 21st game in Rhythm Tengoku, the 3rd Extra game unlocked with 41 Medals in Rhythm Heaven Fever and the 23rd game in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. It's about a man who is learning how to write Japanese calligraphy.
Gameplay
You play as a giant hand writing calligraphy with a surprising amount of strength. When the giant hand reaches enough power, press A to write. There are six different symbols to write (レ ("Re" Katakana), 、 (a Japanese comma), 力 (power), 己 (oneself), 寸 (sun, a Japanese kind of measurement), 心 (heart), and the characters つるニハ○○ムし (or つ3ニハ○○ムし in the Korean version) arranged to form a face). Near the end, the game goes faster and people come out dancing.
Controls
Button Mode
- A: Write (with power)
Simple Tap Mode
- Tap: Write (with power)
Timing Notes
- Hit: The symbol is successfully written.
- Barely: If early, the line turns out squiggled. If late, a messy spot of ink is made. If the Calligraphy People are present, they will stumble over. Either way, a sigh will be let out. A barely counts as a miss.
- In Tengoku, a "doink" sound can be heard when this happens, but it's not in Fever or Megamix.
- Miss: If missed completely no marks are made, letting out a sigh. If the Calligraphy People are present, they will stumble over.

You gave it a lot of oomph! You gave it your all. That's the best brush work I've seen. |

Trivia
- There is an unused string in Rhythm Tengoku reading "リズムお習字 2"[1], meaning that a Rhythm o Shuji 2/Power Calligraphy 2 was intended, but was scrapped.
- The "The End" kanji that appears in Japanese version was kept in the international version of Rhythm Heaven Megamix, unlike Rhythm Heaven Fever.
- In the Korean version, various things were changed, as seen below.
