Tap Trial 2 (スーパータップダンス^?, Super Tap Dance) is the 35th game in Rhythm Tengoku and the 81st game in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. It is the sequel to Tap Trial. Monkeys have been upgraded to MAN-Ks and the girl has a new dance dress, and you must control her to dance simultaneously with the monkeys in a high-speed tap trial.

The gameplay is the same as the prequel. This time, the player must tap more consistently and faster, along with being in a different setting with remixed, sped up music playing, making the gameplay really complicated and more intense. The giraffe is absent in this sequel, however.

• Hit: The girl taps on the beat.
• Barely: A quick "dink" sound is heard. A barely counts as a hit in Rhythm Tengoku, but counts as a miss in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
• Miss: The girl doesn't tap on the beat. When jumping, the girl will land incorrectly.

Tap Trial 2 also appears in the 2P mode of Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade) where it is referred to as Tap Trial 2 2P (スーパータップ 2P^?, Sūpā Tappu 2P). It plays the same as the 1P version, but there are two girls and only one MAN-K.

Trivia

• Just like the monkeys, the MAN-Ks are noticeably smaller in the Megamix version, most likely to make them more consistent with the other monkeys in that game.
• The Giraffe that appeared in the first game was remade into a camel for the sequel, but doesn't appear in the game. Interestingly, a camel can be seen on the title screen of the Megamix version, replacing the giraffe.
