Karate training at its most intense! |
Template:Game-Nav Template:Minigame infoboxKarate Man Combos! (「カラテ家コンボ」 karateka konbo) is identical to Karate Man from Rhythm Heaven Fever, aside from having a red-orange background instead of a blue one, and it's a last extra game bought from museum shop in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. This game is about Karate Joe who continues his training of punching objects and learning a new technique called combo. It is the 108th and last game in Megamix.
Gameplay
The player must press the A button to make Karate Joe punch a pot that flies by. Occasionally, there will be a voice saying "Hit 3" along with text, and the player would have to hit two pots in a row, followed by a rock-like object. At certain parts of the song, a "!" mark will appear by Karate Joe, signaling a brief tempo change. There is also a combo, which will appear after a light-bulb that is glowing blue appears instead of a pot. Directly after the light-bulb will follow with several pots and then a barrel, which the player will have to hit with a flurry of punches and kicks, ending in an uppercut.
Controls
Button Mode
- A: Punch
- Hold B: Start combo (flurry punch)
- Let go of B: Finish combo (uppercut)
Simple Tap Mode
- Tap: Punch
- Hold Stylus: Start combo (flurry punch)
- Let go of Stylus: Finish combo (uppercut)
Timing Notes
- Hit: Karate Joe punches the assorted objects away. With a combo, he punches everything away and smashes the barrel, looking happy.
- Barely: Karate Joe just grazes the objects, making them fall onto the ground. With a combo, he only hits some of the objects (either some pots if to early or late, or the barrel if not finished correctly), looking sad afterwards. A barely counts as a miss.
- Miss: Karate Joe completely misses or doesn't punch, and the object flies past, with him looking surprised. With a combo, Joe either lets all the objects fly by, or messes up and spins out after the move is done.
Rating Notes
- Try Again: "I should eat more before training..."
- OK: "Whoops! My belt came undone..."
- Superb: "Hiiiyah!"
