Hole in One 2 is the forty-fourth rhythm game in Rhythm Heaven Fever. It is the sequel to Hole in One.
Appearance/Gameplay differences
The game seems to take place in the sky, with the characters positioned on a pink cloud with multicolored palm trees on it, hitting golf balls over to another cloud. The player golfer is now female, Monkey is pink instead of brown, and Mandrill has a pink face and tan belly, along with a taller hair tuft.
The game is mechanically the same as the first Hole in One; the player needs to hit the golf balls as Monkey and Mandrill throw them. However, this game has Monkey throw the golf balls with less delay in between, and will throw many of them in a row, requiring the player to hit them faster. Mandrill's offbeat throws are much more frequent as well, at one point throwing two in a row.
Controls
- A = Swing golf club (hit golf balls)
Hit or Miss
- Hit: The player will hit the golf balls over to the island. Depending on how precise you hit it, the zoom bubble will show it either roll around the hole's edge and then fall in, fall right in the hole and clink on the sides, or land right next to the hole and zoom into it.
- Barely: The player will hit the golf balls, but they will be either knocked to the left or right (depending on how early or late it it hit), landing in water. A barely counts as a miss.
- Miss: For small golf balls, they will roll past the player, with Monkey frowning. For Mandrill's throws, they will fly into the golfer's leg, causing him to grunt in pain.
Trivia
- Mandrill's taller hair gets called back to in Remix 9, where his hair is as tall as the screen, with a monkey climbing it.
- The game seems to be played on "Rhythm Heaven", due to it's similar appearance to the place in Remix 7's rating screens.
