  • The text displayed at the beginning either reads "There are mountains that a samurai must climb." or "There are roads that a samurai must travel." Interestingly, the three parts of the text are timed to the music. A fourth part is also intended to be displayed, however no such part is shown in most versions. In the Japanese, French and Korean versions however, there is one; it is simply The Wandering Samurai signing his name, while the text itself is written from his perspective.
  • There is an unused Tengu mask in Samurai Slice. It is likely intended as a reference to the masks worn by the yōkai in Iai Giri in Rhythm Tengoku and Samurai Slice in Rhythm Heaven.
