Air Rally (バドミントン^?, Badminton) is the 3rd Rhythm Game of Honeybee Land (3rd overall) in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

The long version, Air Rally 2, appears in the 3rd stage in Rhythm Heaven Fever and Honeybee Tower in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

Gameplay

The player controls Baxter, a dog in a red airplane, playing badminton with Forthington, a cat in a blue airplane. Every time Forthington hits the shuttlecock, the player must press A at the right time to hit it back. Sometimes, the rhythm will change. Forthington cues indicate the rhythm:

• Normal rhythm: Hyah, hyah, hyah, hyah.../Nya, nya, nya, nya... (A standard slow rhythm of twos.)
• Slow rhythm: Bu-bum bum bum! (A slower rhythm of fours.)
• Back to normal: Two, three, FOUR!/Two, three, go! (The rhythm reverts to its normal speed.)

Unlike the original Air Rally, the shuttlecock is always hit from the same distance, excluding the final hit, where Forthington catches the shuttlecock.

• Ⓐ/Tap: Swing racket

Timing Notes

• Perfect!/Ace!: The player hits the shuttlecock back at Forthington.
• Early!/Late!: The player hits the shuttlecock, but it is knocked to the side, and Forthington serves another one (except on the last beat).
• Miss...: The shuttlecock flies past the player, and Forthington serves another one (except on the last beat). If the player misses on the last beat, Forthington’s ending dialogue will be disappointed, stating that “you can’t just miss the last one”.

• A Blue Bird makes a cameo in the superb rating screen.
• The names Baxter and Forthington are a pun on "back and forth", referencing how the shuttlecock is hit back and forth in the game.
