Template:Game-Nav Template:Minigame infobox Frog Hop (ケロケロダンス^?, Kero Kero Dansu) is a the 24th minigame in Rhythm Heaven and the 59th minigame in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. In this game, you are playing as a backup dancer, (a green Frogette on the right), who must dance and shake his hip with the other dancers during the stage. The song in this game is "Young Love Rock'n'Roll". A sequel is unlocked later known as Frog Hop 2.

Gameplay

The player controls a backup dancer on the right of the stage. As the blue frog sings, the player must tap the screen in time to swing the frog's hips. In addition, the female frog will occasionally chant out a move for the player to repeat:

• "Yeah, yeah, yeah!": The player must tap three times very quickly.
• "Yahoo!": The player must tap twice quickly.
• "Spin it, boys!": The player must spin and pick up the beat again.

• Tap: Shake hips
• Hold Stylus: Prepare to spin
• Flick: Spin

Rhythm Heaven Megamix

Button Mode

• A: Shake hips
• Hold B: Prepare to spin
• Release B: Spin

Simple Tap Mode

• Tap: Shake hips
• Hold Stylus: Prepare to spin
• Release Stylus: Spin

Timing Notes

• Hit: The beat is smoothly kept.
• Barely: The frog gulps and starts to slightly sweat. A barely counts as a hit in Rhythm Heaven, but counts as a miss in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
• Miss: The frog bumps into the frog next to him. The other frogs give him an annoyed look.

Trivia

• The lead singer is also the frog who speaks at the beginning of Rhythm Heaven and after clearing Remix 6.
• In Rhythm Tengoku Gold, there is a "Yahoo!" cue during the line "Don't you know that that is just so square?", but in the other versions, this cue was removed. It is however present in all versions of Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
• The "tink" sound effect when the backup dancer goes offbeat was replaced with a different sound effect that can be heard in Working Dough and Cheer Readers in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
• When going for a perfect in Rhythm Heaven, the game doesn't care about whether or not you got a barely, considering this game is very hard. This also applies to Lockstep, Lockstep 2, Frog Hop 2, Shoot-'Em-Up, and Shoot-'Em-Up 2.
  • This was changed in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
