Template:Game-NavTemplate:Minigame infobox Drummer Duel (応援団^?, Ouendai) is the eighteenth game in Rhythm Heaven. The player controls the blue drummer who is competing against the 'red team' in a taiko duel. Getting a perfect on this game earns the gift "Cheering Tips" in the Café.

Gameplay

The blue drummer must copy every beat the red drummer makes during his turn and must perform it correctly in the same rhythm as him. The red drummer's speed in rhythm gets gradually faster near the end of the game.

• Tap: Beat drum

Timing Notes

• Hit: Yellow sparks emit from the drum. The cheerleaders will cheer the player on
• Barely: Depending just how close the player does it, it may count as a hit or miss
• Miss: Black sparks emit from the drum, as well as the drum sounds being off beat. The cheerleaders will stumble over.

Rating Notes

• Try Again: "Butterfingers!"
• OK: "You'll do better next time."
• Superb: "Everybody wins when the rhythm is right!"

Trivia

• The chanting heard in the background "Don! Doko! Don!" is Japanese onomatopoeia used to represent impact sounds (like drum beats).
  • In the Korean version, they were changed to "Doong" (Korean: 둥둥!) along with the cues.
