The Guitar Lessons (ギターレッスン?, Gitā Ressun) is a place at the Medal Corner, where the player can play songs with controls similar to Rockers.

Gameplay

There are two versions, ★Basic Course★, which plays the same as Rockers, and ★Technical Course★, which uses the same controls as Rockers 2. The songs used are from other games and are unlocked by earning Medals.

After playing through a song, J.J. Rocker gives a score from 0 to 100, and a rank. The highest score is S rank earned with at least 96 points.

Getting an A rank or higher on all songs in ★Basic Course★ and ★Technical Course★ unlocks the respective Course in Battle of the Bands.

Controls

  • Tap: Mute strings
  • Tap (Hold): Mute strings/Prepare to strum
  • Tap (Release): Cancel
  • Flick: Strum
  • : Bend notes (Lefty Mode) (★Technical Course★ only)
  • : Bend notes (Righty Mode) (★Technical Course★ only)

Timing Display

  • Perfect!/Ace!?: The player strums correctly, causing white bolts to appear.
  • Early!/Late!?: The player strums slightly off tune, causing blue tears to appear.
  • Miss...?: If the player strums at the wrong time, the strum is very off tune, causing yellow vines to appear. Regardless if the player strums at the wrong time or doesn't strum when they should, J.J. Rocker stumbles over.
