There are two versions, Basic Course and Technical Course. Basic Course plays the same as [[Rockers]], while Technical Course uses the same controls as [[Rockers 2]]. Songs are unlocked by earning a certain amount of medals. After you play through a song, [[Rockers (Characters)|J.J. Rocker]] will give you a score from 0 to 100, and then give you a letter score. The highest score is S rank, or any score from 96 to 100. Getting an A rank on all songs in Basic Course and Technical Course will allow you to do the respective Course of [[Battle of the Bands]].

The Guitar Lessons (ギターレッスン?, Gitā Ressun) is a place at the Medal Corner, where the player can play songs with controls similar to Rockers.

Gameplay

There are two versions, ★Basic Course★, which plays the same as Rockers, and ★Technical Course★, which uses the same controls as Rockers 2. The songs used are from other games and are unlocked by earning Medals.

After playing through a song, J.J. Rocker gives a score from 0 to 100, and a rank. The highest score is S rank earned with at least 96 points.

Getting an A rank or higher on all songs in ★Basic Course★ and ★Technical Course★ unlocks the respective Course in Battle of the Bands.

Controls

  • Tap: Mute strings
  • Tap (Hold): Mute strings/Prepare to strum
  • Tap (Release): Cancel
  • Flick: Strum
  • 🅁: Bend notes (Righty Mode) (★Technical Course★ only)
  • 🄻: Bend notes (Lefty Mode) (★Technical Course★ only)

Timing Display

  • Perfect!/Ace!?: The player strums correctly, causing white bolts to appear.
  • Early!/Late!?: The player strums slightly off tune, causing blue tears to appear.
  • Miss...?: If the player strums at the wrong time, the strum is very off tune, causing yellow vines to appear. Regardless if the player strums at the wrong time or doesn't strum when they should, J.J. Rocker stumbles over.
