Regional Differences
Phone has a different symbol in region on the 5 key. Rhythm Heaven has an inverted eighth note with a 5 imposed on the note head, while Rhythm Tengoku Gold and Rhythm World have an eight note (♪), and Rhythm Paradise just has the number 5.

In Rhythm Heaven and Rhythm Paradise, each number also has a corresponding set of letters, as is standard for phone number pads. Dialing letters in a phone number is simply substituted with the number with the corresponding letter. For example, 555-SAMURAI is dialed by inputting the numbers 5557268724.
