You’re the drummer on the far right. You have to copy the drumming patterns of Ponta & Salu. When Salu drums with his left hand, press A to play the middle drum with your right hand. When he plays with his left hand, use the Right arrow to drum it with your right hand. When Ponta plays his drum, use down to copy him. You get 3 tries for each pattern. At the end of the game, you’ll get a numbered high score, like in Tengoku’s [[Rhythm Test]] & [[Rhythm Heaven Megamix|Megamix]].

Tanuki & Monkey (たぬき&モンキー[1]?, Tanuki & Monkī) is an unused Rhythm Game found in Rhythm Tengoku. The drummer is taking a Drum Lesson from Saru (サル?, Monkey) and Ponta (ポン太?, Ponta) by Samurai Drummer's request.

The player controls the drummer on the far right. Their task is to copy the patters that Monkey and Ponta play.

When Saru plays the snare with his left hand, it is expected that Ⓐ will be pressed to play the snare drum with the player's left hand.   • This Rhythm Game has no known name inside of Rhythm Tengoku itself; however, the name "Tanuki & Monkey" is mentioned in a list of names belonging to many games that were cut from Rhythm Tengoku[1]. It is reasonable to assume it is referring to this game; however, it must be noted it is conjecture.
  • The drummer featured in this game also appears in an unused intro sequence, where they take lessons from Samurai Drummer directly. One lesson has the drummer hit the beat as soon as the music starts.
