*The Studio uses the same area as Drum Lesson, but without Samurai Drummer or the Timing Lamp. Live uses the same controls as well, so the Drum Lessons can be considered a "Practice" of sorts for those modes.
*The Guitar Lessons in Rhythm Heaven and the Extra Games in Rhythm Heaven Fever occupy the same spot in their respective Medal Corners. The former serves a similar purpose to the Drum Lessons. In fact, the music for "Guitar Lessons" is a remix of "Drum Lesson Selection Music".
*The Timing Lamp on the top of the screen is similar to the Timing Display in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
*The unused Rhythm Game Tanuki & Monkey presents a different kind of drum lesson, hosted by Salu and Ponta by the Samurai Drummer's request.
*While Drum Lesson itself is absent from the arcade game, the music for the menu was repurposed for the name registration screen.

Drum Lesson (ドラムレッスン?, Doramu Ressun) is a section found at the Omaku Corner after clearing Remix 1 in Rhythm Tengoku. There are 19 different lessons hosted by Samurai Drummer, which can be unlocked with Medals.

Gameplay

The player, represented by Anata, must copy Samurai Drummer's patterns, who plays as long as the player remains idle. The player needs to copy the patterns four times in a row successfully to "LEVELUP" and move on to the next part of the lesson. Making a mistake after the "LEVELUP" meter has progressed will cause it to roll back and the Samurai Drummer to shrug.

On the top of the screen is the Timing Lamp (タイミングランプ?, Taimingu Ranpu), which flashes depending on the timing of each drum hit. The green in the center is "just right", while the farther off it goes, the lamp shows yellow, and finally red. Pressing the Start button activates "SLOW" mode so the player can more easily analyze the patterns, but they cannot "LEVELUP" in this mode.

After completing a lesson, the player receives a rank based on how they did. The highest rank is an S rank, which requires 95 points or higher.

The player can quit out of the lessons with the Select button at any time.
