Rhythm Heaven Silver is an unofficial English translation of Rhythm Tengoku. The project was started in 2012 and was restarted in 2019. It can be downloaded as a patch from the GBAtemp thread or on GitHub.

In 2022, the project's maintainer, ShaffySwitcher, discontinued the project and became a contributor on an alternate localization titled Rhythm Heaven Advance, which can be obtained here.

Translated Names

Newer versions of Rhythm Heaven Silver have since adopted the official names. This list is only of the names that differ from the official localization, including those from before Rhythm Heaven Megamix was released.

Games in italics had their names adjusted following Rhythm Heaven Megamix's release.

Games with a * only had their names changed in the Game Select.

Forks

In April 17, 2020, after the release of Beta 10a, WindowsTiger released a Korean patch named Rhythm World Advance (리듬 세상 어드밴스?, 리듬 세상 Advance) that translates the game into Korean. It is available to download as a patch on its Tistory page. Notably, it has a Korean translation and dub for WISH Kimi o Matenakute, likely the first time an entire vocal song for Rhythm Tengoku has been dubbed and modded accordingly.

French[12] and Russian[13] translations were also planned, but never fully released.

References

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 Renamed in Beta-13a to its official name as of Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
  2. 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 Despite being renamed in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the latest version of Rhythm Heaven Silver still uses its own name.
  3. This name was only seen on the menu in older versions, as the prologue had always just shown "Spaceball". It, however can still be seen in the Studio.
  4. Also named "Tram & Poline" in the Studio
  5. 5.0 5.1 "Polyrhythm is a technical musical term that I thought most people wouldn't know. It felt out of place in a playful game like Rhythm Heaven. A lot of the translation could have been very literal. But I think the DS and Wii games are lively localizations. The Wii game translates the White Ghost name as "Sneaky Spirits". Clearly, there is precedent for changing the title of the games when translating to English." ~ GBATemp: Rhythm Tengoku Translation - Rhythm Heaven Silver
  6. Although named such on the Game Select and the Studio, the prologue still reads "Bon Dance".
  7. 7.0 7.1 7.2 Renamed in Beta-13a to match the official name of the base game as of Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
  8. The prologue also reads "Ninja Reincarnate", unlike the original where only "Ninja" is displayed.
  9. 9.0 9.1 9.2 Despite the base game being renamed in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the latest version of Rhythm Heaven Silver still uses its own name.
  10. Named "Spaceball Game 2" in older versions, but the prologue had always just shown "Spaceball".
  11. Presumably renamed because the literal translation, "Mannequin Factory", wouldn't fit on screen.
  12. 12.0 12.1 "Trio Clap Clap - Rhythm Paradise Silver (Super)" (The Clappy Trio - Rhythm Paradise Silver (Superb)) ~ Shaffy on Odysee
