Tapping the screen makes the samurai step on a wooden plank to bounce food. Coins will come out of the sliced food, which racks up the player's score; watermelons are worth one coin, while fish and Demons are worth two coins. When the full moon rises, all coins earned will be multiplied by 10x for a brief period of time. The game moves faster as the score rises. If the samurai fails to slice food items at least three times, the game is over.

The variation in timing is also based on which food is going to be sliced.
The game begins with three lives, represented with flames. If the player loses them all, the game is over.
* Watermelon: The most basic item to slice. The watermelon will bounce off the wooden plank once and then will be able to be sliced with the samurai's sword.
Items
* Blue fish: This item will bounce off the wooden plank twice, so waiting twice as long to slice is crucial.
Each item thrown has a different rhythm.
* Gold fish: This fish is rarer than the blue fish. Slicing it will give the player one heart.
*Watermelon: The most basic item to slice. The watermelon bounces off the wooden plank once to then be sliced with the samurai's sword. Gives 1 coin.
* Demon: This enemy, who is returning from Iai Giri, has a mask with big red nose. Once it is bounced off the wooden plank it will be launched in the air and out of sight, and then fall down in front of the samurai. It will take two beats to it to fall.
*Fish: This item bounces off the wooden plank twice befor being sliced. A yellow version may appear at the end of the loop, which restores one life if sliced, up to a total of 5. Gives 2 coins.
*Yokai: This enemy, who is returning from Iai Giri, gets bounced off the wooden plank, launched high in the air and out of sight, then fall down in front of the samurai. The timing for the slice matches the timing it would take in Iai Giri following the music. Gives 2 coins.

* This is the first and only time the Wandering Samurai stars in an Endless Game.
*Ocassionally, the moon may appear with the text "555-SAMURAI" on it. If the player inputs this into the Phone, they will get sounds from Iai Giri from Rhythm Tengoku.
* Further in the game, the words 555-SAMURAI will appear on the Moon. If the player types that into the Phone rhythm toy, they will get sounds of the Wandering Samurai from Rhythm Tengoku.
*The Wandering Samurai has a different appearance in the Korean version. Although later Samurai Slice games would continue with redesigning the characters, the design in this game is unique.
* The music in this game is similar, or the same, as Iai Giri's music.
*There are unused sprites in this game, depicting the Ninjas from Ninja Bodyguard, and the character from Arrow Space, a microgame in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, which has a similar aesthetic to this game.
* This marks the first time that the Wandering Samurai changes his appearance in the Korean version, as seen on the right.
** However, this is different from the Wii and Super Samurai Slice versions.
* According to the “Listen to Music” section of the Café, the song for this minigame is called Fresh Samurai.
