Munchy Monk (しゅうぎょう shugyou "training") is the 2nd Endless Game in Minna no Rhythm Tengoku, unlocked with 11 medals, and the 3rd in international releases of Rhythm Heaven Fever, unlocked with 23 medals.
Description
The player controls a training Munchy Monk, who is traveling on a train and feeding a Chorus Kid eggs. Once the girl below him hands you an egg, the player must blow it into the Chorus Kid's mouth. When she hands you a handful of peas, the player must hold for a longer amount of time to shoot them all in. As the game progresses, the tempo will speed up, and occasionally the amount of peas handed will increase. You have three lives, represented by tickets, but more can be gained by successfully blowing golden eggs.
Controls
- Ⓐ: Blow eggs
- Ⓐ+Ⓑ (Hold): Blow handfuls of peas
Timing Display
- Perfect!/Ace!: The Monk blows the food into the Chorus Kid's mouth, and he eats it, making him happy.
- Early!/Late!: The Monk blows the egg or peas too early and it hits the Chorus Kid's face, and the player will lose a life. If played in the Endless Remix, the game ends.
- Miss...: The egg or peas that the Monk holds will fall, making him, the girl and the Chorus Kid sad. This will also happen if the monk blows them too late. This will cause the player to lose one life. If played in the Endless Remix, the game ends.
Trivia
- If the word FEED is put into the Police Call phone, a secret word will be activated for this game (the word is BIRDS which can be seen after getting 130 to 150 points on wooden signs out the train window). The codeword can be put into the phone to unlock a secret call.
- In addition, some characters from Rhythm Heaven appear during the next rides in the background such as Pop Singer in her Fan Club 2 outfit, the Frogettes, the Stomp Farmer, the Tiny Ghosts, the Research Scientists of Love Lab, the Güíro Lizards, the Blue Birds with their captain, The Three Synchrettes, and the Blastronaut.
- The silhouettes of the Huebirds of Happiness can be seen during the tunnel ride in this game.
- The girl resembles one of the Kappa's Students from Kung Fu Ball.
