The Space Dancers (スペースダンサーズ?, Supēsu Dansāzu) are tall, light blue, box-headed humanoid creatures that appear in Space Dance in Rhythm Tengoku and Rhythm Heaven Megamix. Their leader is Space Gramps.

    Story

Their dance is considered brutal, because those who mistime their moves will end up getting hit by the person next to them[3].

The Space Dancers appear frequently in weekly magazines and are considered the rivals of the Cosmo Dancers. Experts say the Space Dancers can't compare to the Cosmo Dancers and their sharp moves[4].

The Space Dancers appear to be Racing Fans, as they form a crowd in Freeze Frame. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, many quartets of variously colored Space Dancers also appear.

In rare cases, some Paddlers turn into dancers[5]. This is shown in Rhythm Tengoku Gold Comic 05 彼らのダンスがすごい理由の巻 (Why Their Dance is Amazing by Maki), where a trio of Paddlers are shown trying to do the Space Dance, but always coming up short. Suddenly, what appears to be Space Gramps in Paddler attire comes in to suggest they play table tennis to get back in the groove. They find this method to work, and continue their dancing, albeit as Space Dancers.

I wrote the lyrics and music myself, asked a designer girl to sing the song, and had Tsunku♂ listen to it. Then, Tsunku♂ complimented me on my song, saying, "The singer is good". I had faint hopes that they might use the song as it was, but then, after that, Ami Tokito sang it for us. Even though it was just a draft, I put a lot of energy into it (laughs).
