Trey
Trey (モックン?, Mokkun) is a man with a tree head, glasses and leaf ears that Tibby encounters in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. He is the guardian of the Lush Tower and is part of a tribe located there. He plays the largest role of all the guardians in the story, and is notable for his chill personality.
Role
Lush Tower is seen towards the beginning of the game, with Tibby noting that its height should help him return to Heaven World. It is therefore the initial goal of the story to arrive there.
After Tibby makes it past the Third Gate, he finds himself in a forest where he is greeted by Trey and congratulated for reaching this area. Tibby notices Lush Tower and is glad he can finally return to Heaven World, which Trey notes that it seems to match up with stories he was told of. He tasks Tibby with restoring "Flow" to the tower, which requires him to beat some rhythm games, as well as Lush Remix.
After doing so, Trey rewards him by harnessing the power of the trees in the forest to power the tower, and create a beam of green energy to let Tibby travel back by becoming on with the energy. The credits roll, only for the plan to fail...
After Tibby wakes up, Trey motivates him with a comedically long proverb he was told of by his grandfather, and teaches him a ritual to summon the six other towers. After restoring "Flow" to all six towers, Trey uses the energy of all seven towers to create the Power of Rainbow, which successfully allows Tibby to travel back to Heaven World.
Trivia
- Trey's appearance was changed in the English version, likely to avoid looking like a racial stereotype.
- According to his cafe dialogue, he has apparently had a dream where he sees what he describes as someone who looks a lot like him, but actually more like Tibby.
- Also according to his dialogue, he is 5,000 years old. His grandpa is 6,000.
