The Robots (ロボットたち?, Robotto-tachi) are massive and mass-produced machines in Screwbot Factory in Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Story
The robots are produced at the factory, as a "top-secret, extremely advanced new design". They come in two models, a larger grey one and a smaller white one. They are around 40 meters tall, and weigh 30,000 tons (or around 200 feet tall and 60,000 tons in the version of Rhythm Heaven Fever). The final phase of assembly sees the robot's head being screwed onto the body by a large arm at high speed. This operation is extremely precise, and if done wrong, the robot has to be scrapped. The machine operators require nerves of steel to do their job, leading to a tense working environment. To help them with this task, the factory plays soothing Arabian-style music. When each robot is completed, it says a code word ("Oh yeah!" (「ヤッタ!」?, "Yatta!") for the grey ones, "Let's go!" (「ヨッシャ!」?, "Yossha!") for the white ones) to signal that it is operational and the heart symbol on its chest glows in appreciation. The sight of a completed robot encourages the machine operators to maintain quality work. This, along with the music, lightens the mood at the factory.
All of this information was collected by a Spy (スパイ?, Supai), who relays it to their Leader (リーダー?, Rīdā) at a secret hideout for an enemy factory. They realize production is high thanks to the music, which for them is a problem, and they send the spy back to collect further information. The spy expresses concern about being discovered in the factory full of 200-foot robots and not being extracted in time[1].
These robots continue to be produced in a second factory, although the power is unreliable, and power outages are frequent. The epilogues to Screwbot Factory and Screwbot Factory 2 show these robots are being built to protect the world[2][3]. The workers do not initially expect the robots to be as large as they are[4]. The heart symbol is where the robots' sense of duty is stored[5]. One night during their patrol, someone found a loose screw at the factory. It is not the kind used by the robots, and none of the machines are missing screws, leaving them paranoid[6].

Trivia
- The information given in the Rhythm Items is generally consistent across languages, but some alter certain details. For example, the person doing their night rounds who found a screw wonders if they're about to stop a program of industrial espionage in the French version rather than simply being paranoid about it[7].
